Inside AdWords: Protecting Your Online Security
Google's AdWords blog highlighted the issue of online security in this article. This is a perfect example of how a company can utilize blogs to maintain open communication with their clients and keep them informed about current events that may affect them in one way or another. In this case, Google is addressing an issue that occured on April 24 when they identified and canceled AdWords accounts that re-directed users to malicious sites. Once the user clicked on an ad, the sites attempted to store malware on the user's computer. Google wants their users to know that they are taking this issue very seriously. The company also encouragers people to continously update their virus software and routinely conduct system scans to protect their computers. I enjoyed this article because it relates to a lot of issues we have discussed in class.
